Meet New Jersey Warriors coach Nick Giglio
LITTLE SILVER, N.J. — After stepping down as a coach in Red Bank three years ago, Nick Giglio, famously referred to as Coach Gigs, heard of a new position for the NJ Warriors JUCO program. 鈥淚 wasn鈥檛 looking,鈥� he explained. 鈥淚t just came up all of a sudden.鈥�
After a recommendation from his friend, who was the head coach for the NJ Warriors, was talking to Gigs about a new position opening up. Having missed coaching, Giglio decided to jump at the chance to teach young athletes and provide opportunities. 鈥淚 love seeing young talents who want to take advantage of this opportunity, whether for a year or even using it towards college. We love to help them out.鈥�
When he got the position, Giglio felt that usual 鈥渏olt of energy鈥�, as he puts it, and taking on a new challenge really gave him that enthusiasm. 鈥淲ith the age I am,鈥� he laughs. 鈥淚 felt a lot younger.鈥� He looks forward to influencing many student-athletes in football and can鈥檛 wait to see the path they all take.
