Austin NFL stars highlighted by Drew Brees, Baker Mayfield
5. Ken Harvey, Lanier (Juan Navarro)
The former first-round pick and Lanier High School great enjoyed an 11-year NFL career from 1988-98. For Harvey, his journey to the NFL would hardly run through the high school after dropping out for a semester his junior year and not playing for the team during his senior season. After playing at Laney Community College in Oakland, Harvey transferred to play at the University of California, Berkeley. At Cal, Harvey became an All-Pac-10 selection and was voted MVP of the Senior Bowl. After his selection by the Phoenix Cardinals with the 12th overall pick of the 1988 NFL Draft, Harvey would go on to make four Pro Bowl appearances while landing on the second-team All-Pro, twice.
