Rochester men鈥檚 basketball to play exhibition against Oakland University
ROCHESTER, Mich. — The Rochester athletic department is excited to announce the home exhibition against crosstown NCAA Division I, Oakland University. While the schools have played numerous times throughout the years, this will be the two programs’ first meeting on the Rochester University campus.
The game will be played as an exhibition for both teams and will take place on November 1st with a start time of 7:00PM. Tickets are now on sale on the Rochester University athletics website and can be found at the link below. Reserved chairback seating will be $12 while general admission bleacher seating will be $9. RU athletics will work the student life office to admit the first 150 RU students for free. Season passes will not be valid for this contest.
Rochester University Senior Vice President and Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Klint Pleasant, had this to say about the historic matchup at Garth Pleasant Arena, “Coach Kampe has been incredibly kind to our university and basketball program over the years. He cares about our partnership and believes it is good for the community. I spent several years coaching at the NCAA Division I level and traveling to an NAIA university to play an away game is unheard of. This demonstrates the kind of person Coach Kampe is, and our program continues to be grateful for what he has done for us.”
