Jace Arnold joins Badgers as highest-rated 2023 recruit

Arnold is the Badgers鈥� first four-star recruit from the Class of 2023, and he鈥檚 their 11th overall prospect from the class. He joins A.J. Tisdell as one of the top defensive backs in the nation. Both will help Jim Leonhard and the Badgers defend the pass when they hit the field.聽
As a junior, Arnold recorded 36 tackles and six pass breakups. Along with the recruitment from Wisconsin, Arnold drew interest from SEC powers Georgia, Florida, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
鈥淚 picked them because after being in Madison and seeing what the city is all about, it just stood out to me,鈥� Arnold told . 鈥淭he coaching staff that Coach [Paul] Chryst has put together is just great鈥y bond with the players also put Wisconsin on top. It felt like I had known them forever. So, it was a great experience and I just felt comfortable and at home there.鈥�
Arnold still has one more season left at Marietta High School. He鈥檒l aim to help lead the Blue Devils to a state championship for the first time since 2020. But he still has a lot of growing to do as a player. And when Arnold and his teammates take the field for the 2023-24 season, the Madison faithful can fully expect them to do their best to help the Badgers win.
