Paden Mount is reaching goals at Mill Creek
HOSCHTON, Ga. — Paden Mount just wrapped up his junior year at Mill Creek High School as a member of the Varsity Soccer Team and his skills are catching the eye of some college programs. As he enters his senior season, Paden is determined to make the most of it!
鈥淢y goal is to continue playing soccer in college while pursuing a degree in business with a minor in marketing,鈥 Paden shares. He is actively participating in the recruiting process showcasing himself as a player at a variety of schools.
Between Mill Creek Soccer and playing on a local club travel team, soccer is year-round for Paden who plays as a聽 Center Defensive Midfielder and Centerback. 鈥淢y biggest challenge is the competition at the same level of teams I play,鈥 says Paden, 鈥淭o manage this, I work hard to set myself apart from others to compete with my team, train hard, and showcase my skills better.鈥
Paden is also a mature enough athlete to leave his mistakes in the past. Once, during a game, he made a bad long ball pass. Thanks to excellent advice from his coach to 鈥渢hink like a goldfish and not dwell on mistakes鈥 he was able to continue to contribute to the game. During the next play, he played more possessively, and the buildup Paden provided lead to a goal for his team.
Amid a busy soccer schedule, Paden also works at California Car Wash and maintains A鈥檚 and B鈥檚 in school. He is an energized and hardworking 17-year-old.聽 That diligent mindset can be summarized best by Paden who says, 鈥淲ork hard before someone else works harder! This is what I do every time I hit the pitch! Every practice. Every game.鈥
In his spare time Paden enjoys hanging out with his friends. His favorite snacks are cheese sticks, and he listens to Lil Baby pre-game to eliminate distractions.
When asked what he loves most about his 13 years in soccer, Paden states, 鈥淚 love that the players and coaches support each other. I also love the competitive nature of the game. It sparks a real passion! Further, being a member of a team has taught me the importance of brotherhood and that you鈥檝e always got someone.鈥
