One fresh pitcher: Jackson College鈥檚 Emily Breslin bringing the heat early
JACKSON, Mich. —聽Freshman pitcher #19 Emily Breslin (Stockbridge, MI/Stockbridge) of Jackson College had already been named MCCAA Western Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week. Breslin went 2-0 throwing two complete games only letting eight hits over 14 innings while striking out ten and allowing no runs! She helped lead the Jets to the NJCAA Great Lakes District A Title.
Then the Jackson College Jets softball team captured the Great Lakes District A Softball Championship title Saturday 14th.
The Jets were undefeated in the tourney, topping Kalamazoo Valley CC 8-0 in game 1, Muskegon CC 3-1 in game 2, Lansing CC 4-3 in game 5, and again facing Lansing in the final game, winning with a score of 8-0. The Jets advance to the NJCAA Division II National Championship in Oxford, AL, May 24-28. They are 20-8 in the MCCAA and 34-12 overall.
