Swampscott cheer squad makes strides at state
SWAMPSCOTT, Mass. — Athletics聽leaders in Swampscott are celebrating an exciting 2021 – 2022 season for the Swampscott High School’s Cheerleading Squad. After winning the聽Northeast Conference COED division championship, the team went on to win the聽North Regional Championship in the small COED division for the first time. From there,聽the team headed to State and ultimately placed fourth.
Team leaders submitted an appeal due to a scoring discrepancy which, if won, would have placed the team at second. Team lead Shannon Dullea reports the appeal did not receive a response. Despite that disappointment, the team ended the season more bonded than ever and we salute the seniors as they bid farewell to their Swampscott squad at graduation. Congrats, team!
