Liberty North seniors excited for one last run
LIBERTY, Mo. — After preparing with energy and enthusiasm, the Liberty North Baseball team is ready for the season! The team practices every day after school and the players seem more than willing to put in the work as individuals and as teammates. There is a lot of leadership represented on the team and it鈥檚 very clear that the younger members look to the seniors for most of their inspiration. The team currently has two seniors Matthew Hutson and Aaron Lewis.
Matthew has expressed gratitude in being able to lead and this is his 4th year on the team. He describes himself as hardworking, fun, and welcoming. This season Matthew is looking forward to 鈥済etting all of the butterflies out.鈥 Hutson also shared that he has found it very valuable being able to grow as a person and a player alongside all kinds of people who share the same love for baseball.
Aaron expressed excitement for the upcoming year. He is looking forward to team bonding and connecting with everyone this season. As a senior he is “held accountable for his teammates” and wants to help them learn as much as they can this year before he graduates. He recognizes baseball as a game 鈥渂igger than himself.鈥 He has a lot of respect for the game and his coaches and teammates.
The seniors are the key leaders on the team, and it is clear the baseball field builds a family among these players. The players are looking forward to a season of traveling and excitement, as they have tournaments in Columbia, Missouri and Kansas.
