Rochester United HS figure skating captures 3rd straight state championship
ROCHESTER, Mich. —聽The Rochester United (RU) High School Figure Skating Team captured their third straight Michigan High School State Championship in 鈥淎鈥� Team event on March 27 at the Kensington Valley Ice House.聽 This marks the first 3-peat in Michigan High School State Championship history for any A Team.
Rochester United High School Figure Skating team combines 22 figure skaters from Rochester Adams, Rochester, Stoney Creek and International Academy (Rochester).聽The teams are coached by Daniel Palmeri at the ONYX Suburban Ice Arena in Rochester. The Rochester United (RU) A team is the highest skill level of high school competition and is considered varsity level. There are more than 20 A level teams in Michigan and 12 teams qualified to compete at the State Championships.
