Greenville native, Kailee Morgan, breaks 100-yard breaststroke record at BMC Championships
GREENVILLE, S.C. — The 2022 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Swimming Championships held in Charlotte, North Carolina,聽 was full of excitement this year, especially for local athlete and Christ Church Episcopal School graduate, Kailee Morgan, who had one of her most standout performances this season.
Kailee won the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard breaststroke events while representing her college Carson-Newman. Kailee鈥檚 time of 1:00.89, not only set a new BMC record, but ranked her first in the country for NCAA Div. 2 in this event. Kailee also went on to win the 200-yard breaststroke touching in at 2:13.75; two and half seconds faster than the rest of the field. Kailee will be participating in the 2022 NCAA Div. 2 National Championships held in Greensboro, NC this year.
