Marlette HS junior Manus Bennett picks up his 100th career victory
MARLETTE, Mich. —聽It was a pretty solid day for Marlette junior Manus Bennett at the Greater Thumb Conference wrestling championship tournament on Saturday.
Bennett, who improved to 31-0 on the season, won the 140-pound weight class.

He defeated Brown City’s Hunter Ostrander in the finals, via pin.
All three of his victories were via pin.
Bennett also picked up his 100th career victory, and his 50th career pin.
For his efforts, he was named the Rich Reed Memorial Most Outstanding Wrestler, an award he has won twice now.
He is just the second GTC wrestler to win the award twice.
“It’s just about the people I’ve been training with,” Bennett said. “The hard work is paying off, and it’s just an indicator to myself that I’m going along the right path. The 100 wins means a lot. Wrestlers don’t really hit that milestone that often, so to know that I’m part of that small percentage is cool.”
