Clearview wins Tri-County Conference Royal Division over Williamstown, 59-56
MULLICA HILL, N.J. — The Clearview Varsity Boys Basketball Team won the Tri-County Conference Royal Division after defeating Williamstown in a nail-bitter game ending with a score of 59 – 56. This was the Pioneer’s second title; their first was won in 2020.
“I’m really impressed by what the team accomplished this year,” says the boys’ basketball coach, Rob MacKerchar. Although he knew the team had great talent, the effect of COVID on the past two seasons was an undeniable challenge. But, the boys came together and clinched the conference title for the second time in three seasons.
“Two years ago, a lot of the juniors and seniors on this team, then freshmen and sophomores, helped us win the first conference championship in almost 60 years,” he continues. “This year, those seniors helped win a second conference championship. That’s pretty special.”
