Hannah Hughes to compete with ICE All-Stars at USASF Cheerleading Worlds
GLENVIEW, Ill. — Glenview resident, and Loyola Academy junior, Hannah Hughes, has qualified to the 2022 USASF Cheerleading Worlds Championship (鈥淐heerleading Worlds鈥) to be held April 23-25, 2022 in Orlando, Florida.
Hughes is a member of 鈥淏lackout鈥, a Coed Level 6 Team composed of 30 male and female athletes, ages 13 and older, competing out of ICE All-Stars located in Naperville, Illinois.

Hughes, and her team Blackout, qualified for the Cheerleading Worlds at their first competition of the season, Nation’s Choice Grand Nationals which were held December 11-12, 2021 in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Blackout was named National Champion.
Over 40 countries around the world qualify their top teams to compete at Cheerleading Worlds. The international event brings together cheer and dance athletes to vie for world champion titles in senior and international club divisions and categories. The first Cheerleading Worlds was held in 2004 and the first Dance Worlds in 2007.
As a former competitive gymnast, Hughes made the switch to high-level cheerleading in 2019. She is an advanced 鈥渇lyer鈥 who excels at aerial acrobatics.
Hughes said, 鈥淚 am excited to showcase our hard work at Worlds! We are ready to upgrade our skills over the next few months and our goal is to challenge for the championship!鈥
