Three Hebron Hawks girls soccer players sign with college teams

CARROLLTON, Texas — Hundreds of high school athletes in the Dallas area signed national letters of intent on Nov. 10. It was the first day of the early signing period for high school sports other than football. The girls soccer team at Hebron High School saw three athletes sign with prominent college soccer programs.

Chloe Jones, Sydney Japic and Parker Coe all announced their plans for playing soccer in college. Two of those athletes will be staying in the Lone Star state.

Midfielder Jones will be joining Texas State. Jones was an active player on last year’s team, as she scored four goals and had two assists for the Hawks. She also had six assists in the 2020 campaign.

Japic will be heading outside of the state to play soccer with Alabama. She had six goals and three assists in the 2021 season. Japic performs with the team as a midfielder.

Coe is the third player who committed to a team, as she will be playing for Dallas Baptist. She has been an active player for the Hawks on defense in the past few years.

Coe was one of many people who committed to play for Dallas Baptist this Wednesday. Others in the Dallas area who have committed to play for the Patriots include FM Marcus’ Lyndi Maxson, Frisco Independence’s Samantha Jones and Highland Park’s Elise Borders.

Jones, Japic and Coe have all been instrumental in helping the Hawks stay competitive and remain one of the top girls soccer teams in the Dallas area. The Hawks went 15-4-2 in the 2019 season and 11-4-5 in 2020. The team went 16-6-2 in the 2021 season, winning two playoff games during that campaign. The team was also one of the most active offensive clubs in the area, as they had 62 goals while giving up only 20.

The three new college signees are aiming to show that they’re ready to compete on a collegiate level. But they won’t be the only people who will be worth watching, as junior forward Aryanna Jimison will likely be of great interest to many colleges. Jimison had 18 goals and 15 assists with the Hawks last year.

High school soccer fans in the Hebron area are excited about what the Hebron Hawks will be doing this coming season. The three new college signees from the school are among the top players to watch, as they are hoping to bring their team to success.
