Nicolet High鈥檚 Al Moroder named Green Bay Packers Coach of the Week
GLENDALE, Wis. — Nicolet Head Football Coach Al Moroder is recognized by the Green Bay Packers as the Coach of the Week. In only his sixth year as Nicolet鈥檚 head coach, the Knights, led by Al and his 11 staff assistants, finished their regular season with an historic 6-3 record. The Knights qualified for the WIAA playoffs, defeating the Milwaukee City-Richardson Conference champs, Milwaukee King High School (48-6) in Round 1 before their defeat by the Homestead High School Highlanders (26-14). Keep in mind, Nicolet didn鈥檛 have a varsity team just eight years ago! Al was naturally honored to receive this recognition, but he鈥檚 quick to recognize the program, players, staff, fans and administration for the Knights success.
