Columbia High School sweeps Hamilton in varsity volleyball
LAKE CITY, Fla. – Columbia Tigers faced Hamilton Trojans on Monday at the Richardson sixth Grade Academy, but no one could foresee the sweep. Columbia (2-0) was 25-15 and 25-19 coming into the final game.
The Tigers maintained their strong lead early in the first set but found themselves trailing 24-21 in the second. The Hamilton Trojans had a chance to close out the set and prevent the sweep, but they failed to do so, and Columbia scored the final 5 points winning the game 26-24.
Brandi Oliver was all over the place for the Tigers, dominating the stat sheet in almost all key areas. He had 13 kills, 11 aces, and 13 digs. Alexis Blair also had five aces, and Cassidy O鈥橬eal had eight kills. Danielle Thomson had 18 assists on top of seven digs and three kills.
