Hailey Russo on the attack for Clearview High鈥檚 girls lacrosse
MANTUA, N.J. — Hailey Russo is a star in the making for Clearview鈥檚 Girls lacrosse team. She didn鈥檛 start playing lacrosse until fifth grade. Russo wishes she would鈥檝e started playing when she was younger. During her freshman year she scored 85 goals for the Pioneers. That鈥檚 pretty outstanding, and coach Conklin said 鈥淪he鈥檚 a phenomenal attacker. We obviously asked her to do a lot more than just play the attacking position.鈥� She scored 64 goals her sophomore year.聽
Russo is going into her senior year this month and she has a bright future ahead of her. Russo was named Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year for the second time. Russo was selected to play in the UA All American game, and she was also awarded the USA South All American award.
Russo is going to continue her career at the University of Maryland. She is very excited for what the future holds. Coach Conklin believes in her and sees big accomplishments soon to come.
