Lancaster area high schools to represent at OHSAA track and field championships
LANCASTER, Ohio — The Lancaster area is no stranger to greatness when it comes to track and field. This year is no different, with several competitors representing the area in this year’s OHSAA State Track and Field Championships.
After taking a year off due to COVID-19, several athletes in the area will be getting their first opportunities to earn All-Ohio honors. Lancaster and Fisher Catholic high schools will both be sending representatives to the state meet. Fisher Catholic’s Natalie Boyden set a personal record (PR) in the 3200-meters at the Division III Regionals (Region 11) held in Chillicothe, Ohio of 11:15.14 to punch her ticket to the state meet.
Teammate Abbey Krile qualified in the pole vault, clearing a height of 10-0′. She holds a PR of 10′-6″ and hopes to improve on that number to get in the top eight.
The Golden Gales have two representatives heading to the state meet as well. Nasir Robinson and Carrington Crowell.
