Allen Eagle grad Levi Onwuzurike ready to prove himself
ALLEN, Texas (BVM) 鈥 The NFL Draft kicks off tomorrow at 7 p.m. CDT. A number of dreams are going to come true. One player that hopes to have his name called in the draft is Levi Onwuzurike.
Onwuzurike spent three seasons with the Washington Huskies. With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the college football season, Onwuzurike decided to opt-out of his senior year and prepare for the NFL Draft. During those three seasons, he made his presence felt on the gridiron. He racked up 95 total tackles (47 solo), seven sacks, and 48 assisted tackles.
Onwuzurike is one of the hardest workers when it comes to practice and preparing for a game.聽
鈥淸The] dude has the quickest first step I鈥檝e ever seen,鈥 Husky teammate Joe Tyron. 鈥淢aybe even faster than Von Miller.鈥

Onwuzurike, one of the top defensive linemen in the draft, may not hear his name called Thursday night. But if a team like the Eagles or Raiders are able to take him, he could help reinforce those defensive fronts.聽
