Sun Prairie volleyball is off to state
BEAVER DAM, Wis. (BVM) — The Sun Prairie high school girls volleyball team will be facing Manitowoc Lincoln on Thursday after winning its sectional on Tuesday.聽
The Cardinals beat Eau Claire Memorial in three sets ( 25-18, 25-15, 25-17) in the sectional semifinal and then later that night in the championship beat Deforest in five sets (25-23, 25-13, 12-25, 18-25, 15-13).聽
Deforest played strong after losing to Sun Prairie 3-1 earlier in the season but were not able to overcome the 10th-ranked Cardinals.聽
This will be the Cardinals鈥� third straight trip to the state tournament and they will be looking for their first win in the tournament during that span.聽
