KJ Allen commits to Texas Tech
LUBBOCK, Texas (BVM) 鈥� On Tuesday, KJ Allen, who was a featured player on the Netflix series 鈥淟ast Chance U: Basketball鈥� announced that he flipped his commitment from USC to Texas Tech.
2021 prospect KJ Allen has decommitted from USC and instead committed to Texas Tech, per his Instagram page. Big add for Mark Adams.

Allen is 6-foot-6, 225-pounds, and has him ranked as the 10th-best junior college prospect in the Class of 2021. He has a three-star rating.
During the course of the season, East Los Angeles College finished with an overall record of 29-1. The Huskies were able to reach the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Championship quarterfinals, but the season was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.聽
Allen will be joining a rebuilding Texas Tech basketball program. Since former head coach Chris Beard left, the Red Raiders have had seven of their players leave the program. Allen will now look to help current head coach Mark Adams and the Red Raiders get back to national championship contender status.
