Tyler Shough transfers to Texas Tech
LUBBOCK, Texas. (BVM) 鈥 Just 10 days after entering the transfer portal, former Oregon Duck quarterback Tyler Shough found a new home at Texas Tech. He leaves Oregon as a grad transfer and will have three years of eligibility remaining.聽
鈥淚 would like to thank my coaches at Oregon for the opportunity, and many lessons learned these past [three] years,鈥 . 鈥淗uge thank you to the fans and Eugene community for welcoming me here and making this place special.鈥
During the shortened 2020 season, Shough started all seven games for the Ducks. He threw for 1,559 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also rushed for two TDs as well. Also during the shortened season, Shough was splitting time with Anthony Brown, who transferred from Boston College. Taking advantage of the NCAA鈥檚 free year of eligibility, Brown is returning to Oregon for the 2021 season.聽
Let鈥檚 go to work. Ill be continuing my athletic career and obtaining a Masters at Texas Tech! 馃憜馃徏

In the meantime, Shough is stepping into a quarterback competition in Lubbock this offseason. Henry Colombi started for the Red Raiders during the middle and will likely get first-team reps when camp starts. He took over for Alan Bowman, who started here and there for the Red Raiders. Bowman entered the transfer portal last month.
The Red Raiders will look to improve their passing game in the 2021 season. And with Shough arriving, he should have a significant chance to make an impact on the gridiron.聽
